Carlos Santana Announces Plans to Launch CBD Brands in 2020

Cannabidiol, or CBD, has been having a fantastic run for the last few years. For something that was barely known three or so years ago, it has grown into an industry worth millions of dollars, and experts say it may hit $20 billion by 2020. It’s quickly losing its fringe product status and moving into the mainstream, as evidenced by the mountains of anecdotal evidence detailing its diverse medical abilities.

Forward-thinking CBD and hemp brands have partnered with celebrities to get even more exposure, while other celebrities have jumped onto the bandwagon themselves, pulling their sleeves up and joining the business. Legendary rocker, guitarist, ten-time Grammy winner and three-time Latin Grammy winner Carlos Santana is the latest popular figure to do so. On January 15, the longtime cannabis advocate announced a partnership with Left Coast Ventures, a hemp company based in Santa Rosa, California.

According to the announcement, the guitarist will develop premium cannabis and premium hemp brands for the company that is influenced by his Latino heritage while “incorporating his divine philosophies” with strains and products that promote the spiritual consciousness and wellness effect of the drug.

These lines will provide consumers with high-quality products designed to leverage the power of historical remedies that allow them to discover and follow their light.

“Cannabis is a window or a door to a different awareness of consciousness,” says Santana. “It gives you the choice to perceive through a different filter of awakening and healing, the misconception of distance as an illusion, which keeps you from being centered to your essence core. It helps you arrive at knowing, accepting and owning a quality of life that is beaming with joy,” he adds.

The cannabis brand is expected to launch in the summer of 2020, and they will be available in select dispensaries across California. The summer launch will include flower and pre-rolls. The hemp brand, on the other hand, will launch in the fall, and it will include topicals with traditional formulas inspired by recipes from Santana’s family.

“We are excited to launch cannabis and hemp CBD brands that deeply connect Latin heritage and celebrate the unique light of every individual. It’s a true honor to work with a dynamic legendary musician like Santana who has influenced millions through his music and shares our values and passion to legitimize the future of cannabis,” says Left Coast Ventures CEO Brett Cummings.

It is widely believed that industry players like ChineseInvestors.com Inc. (OTCQB: CIIX) are happy each time a new celebrity joins the industry since this helps to introduce cannabis products to a lot more people across all walks of life.
