While hundreds of CBD manufacturers are scrambling to make gummies and other CBD edibles, one manufacturer has opted to strike out on a less travelled path and has found success in making the ingredients that people can use when making CBD edibles. That company is Azuca, based in New York City.
The company makes CBD-infused syrups and sugars which users can stir into doughs, batters and drinks. As you may have guessed, their main ingredient is tiny granules of sugar from which they formulate their different products which have become very popular among people who would rather make their own CBD edibles instead of buying those that are ready to consume.
This “culinary cannabis technology company” was founded by Chef Ron Silver. His rise to fame started when he opened the doors of the New York City-based Bubbly’s Restaurant.
Recently, Azuca shifted its manufacturing wing to Colorado. This decision was motivated by the desire to take advantage of the favorable legal regime in Colorado which allows CBD to be infused into products that are meant for human and animal consumption.

Kim Rael, the CEO and co-founder of Azuca, reveals that this CBD company was started with the aim of addressing one of the biggest problems that users of CBD products have. That problem is how to determine the correct dosing.
She says that they believe that size matters, and when it comes to CBD dosing, smaller is usually better. She compared the ingredients made by Azuca to being as small as a marble while the other products on the market are as big as a large beach ball.
Azuca filed and received three patients in 2017. That proprietary technology has enabled the company to make CBD molecules water-soluble. In this way, consumers of the products made using Azuca ingredients can feel the effects of the edible much sooner, and that can potentially eliminate the problem of people ingesting too much CBD or THC in a bid to notice the compound kick in sooner.
Asked whether Azuca products will not get lost in the dust left by the other manufacturers who use those products as ingredients, Ron Silver revealed that they are using the model adopted by microchip maker Intel and other such companies whose products are used in other products. Intel puts their branding on computers to let users know that Intel’s technology is powering their devices, and Azuca is borrowing that method to remain visible even when other manufacturers use Azuca products inside what they make.
CBD industry analysts find this originality of thought very intriguing and believe that other industry players like ChineseInvestors.com Inc. (OTCQB: CIIX) and Earth Science Tech Inc.
