Milwaukee Company Earns Millions from CBD Joints

The CBD sector is probably the fastest growing industry out there. Driven by immense demand due to CBD’s wide-ranging medical abilities, the industry has achieved millions of dollars in sales despite being just a year old. One of CBD’s most appealing traits is that it can be taken in several ways, and this has allowed firms to create and sell a diverse range of cannabidiol infused products.

Smokable hemp has been receiving attention lately as it combines the quick effects associated with smoking with the therapeutic effects of CBD. Vance Global Inc. capitalized on that by manufacturing and selling CBD joints, and the firm is now responsible for a large portion of smokable CBD on the market.

According to co-founders August Battles and Brandon Marhal, the company has sold around 4 million of its CBD joints. Marketed as ‘guilt-free smokes,’ they offer the anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, and other benefits associated with cannabidiol. The company blends lavender imported from France into the hemp, and it states that the lavender provides additional benefits to users.

Vance Global cigarettes are being sold at around 46,000 stores in 46 states, says Battles. The company earned about $3 million last year, and the founder expects to bring in $15 million this year. A pack of their all-natural blend containing 10 CBD joints sells for $14.99.

At Knuckleheads Tobacco stores, Vance cigarettes reign supreme. According to Madison store general manager Landon Meske, it is the No. 1 staff recommendation for a smoking product. “I love that lavender. It helps enhance that relaxing, anti-anxiety feeling,” says Meske, who smokes a Vance cigarette at least once a week.

Co-founder Battles used to smoke tobacco cigarettes regularly, and he says now he smokes around six hemp cigarettes a day.

CBD has become immensely popular due to its wide-ranging medical abilities. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety, and analgesic properties that make it perfect for pain relief, to reduce anxiety and stress and a plethora of other medical applications.

Smoking CBD ensures faster CBD absorption and circulation through the body, and it is especially helpful at aiding cigarette smokers quit smoking. A 2013 study by researchers at the University College of London found that CBD reduced the number of cigarettes smoked by study participants by about 40%.

At the moment, hemp cigarettes aren’t being regulated. The state of Wisconsin oversees and licenses companies that grow and process hemp like Vance Global, while other states like North Carolina, Kentucky, and Indiana have restricted the production and sale of smokable hemp.

It is widely believed that other CBD sector players like Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (CSE: LXX) (OTCQX: LXRP) celebrate success stories like that of Vance Global since each entity does its part in bringing as many CBD products to users as possible, so a win for one is a win for all.
