UK Woman Says Drinking CBD Water Cured Her IBS and Anxiety

You’ve probably heard of cannabidiol, or CBD as it’s more commonly known. The compound is part of a group of chemicals produced by the cannabis plant that have wide-ranging medicinal properties. For the past few years, it has held the medical, health, and wellness communities in thrall due to its medical abilities.

It is said to work against a variety of ailments, ranging from chronic pain and anxiety to high blood pressure and insomnia. Although most of the claims haven’t been scientifically proven yet, users swear by CBD. Epidiolex is the only CBD-based drug approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Still, there are tons of stories of people who have benefited from using CBD in various ways. Victoria Stuart, 43, of Frome, Somerset, is one of them. She suffered from anxiety so bad she would throw up at work. She was unable to sleep, had IBS flare-ups, and developed psoriasis.

“I’d never suffered from mental issues before, but about four years ago, a stressful situation at work triggered extreme anxiety. Even after the issue was dealt with, I just couldn’t seem to shake it off. My IBS flared up, and I developed psoriasis in my scalp, which I’d never suffered from before,” she says.

“I also had a heightened sense of smell, which would make me feel sick, and was often physically sick before big meetings. I even had to leave meetings sometimes to be sick and was often sick straight afterward. But the worst thing was that I couldn’t get any sleep.”

She was working between 8 to 12 hours a day before coming back home to keep it running, all on very little sleep. She smoked cannabis on and off for six months, and while it helped her sleep better, she says it wasn’t sustainable. Her cousin told her about a new CBD-infused water called LiquidCool. According to its makers, it is 52 times stronger than other CBD waters sold in the UK.

She drank a bottle a day for a couple of days, and she says it felt like a fog had lifted. “I’m doing the same job, but if there is stress at work, I find I can manage it without becoming anxious. My IBS is gone, and I can actually enjoy a full night’s sleep, which has had a huge impact. The psoriasis is still there, but I’m hoping it will go soon,” she adds.

“It’s incredible what difference a bottle of water has made to my quality of life,” Stuart exclaimed.

It is believed that cannabidiol companies like Willow Biosciences Inc. (TSX: WLLW) (OTCQB: CANSF) get energized each time they come across such a powerful testimony of how someone has been helped to have a better quality of life after using a CBD product.
