UK Government Warns Travelers About Taking CBD to the UAE

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in the UK has warned travelers to be wary of carrying anything that may contain CBD when they travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) since this could land them in jail for about four years.

The UAE is known for its lack of tolerance of drugs, and that attitude carries over to anything that could contain an ingredient contained in banned drugs. Products like electronic cigarettes (e-cigs), body lotions and candy could be confiscated if their ingredients contain any marijuana compound, and the traveler may face criminal charges for trying to carry that item into the Emirates.
