420 with CNW — Researchers Create Cannabis-Based, Anti-Aging Spray

January 5, 2021 16:25:58

Researchers have developed an anti-aging skin spray created from super-strength marijuana; the spray is said to be revolutionary.

Researchers at Dolce Cann Global, an Australian marijuana company, have created various cannabis strains comprised of a mix of cannabinoids with significantly stronger anti-inflammatory properties as compared to normal CBD.

Wellfully, a wellness company, has partnered with Dolce Cann Global to obtain the rights that would allow the companies to use these strains to produce products to fight arthritis, acne, aging and skin blemishes through established drug-delivery systems.

By combining exclusive cannabis strains, beauty, technology and science, the objective of the partnership is to develop products that use magnetic misting and ultrasonic diffusion as well as other delivery systems to allow better penetration and greater absorption of the stronger cannabinoids.

Ultrasonic diffusion allows an individual’s skin to soak up droplets that are 50 times more minute than conventional spray. This ensures that no residue is left on the hair or skin of an individual. Magnetic misting on the other hand decreases surface tension through the droplets, which allows the droplets to significantly penetrate and be absorbed into the body.

The researchers are currently running tests using cell lines derived from humans to examine the bio-efficacy on seven main marijuana strains. This research will progress from seed to clinical trials during the one-year period. After this period, the product will hit shelves in the UK in 2022 under the Reduit brand by Wellfully.

These super-strong cannabinoids, along with their unique pathways for activation, will be important in managing inflammation that is linked to particular diseases. The company’s announcement comes at a time when the marijuana-infused beauty industry is growing.

Estimated project that by the year 2026, the industry will be worth over £13 billion per annum. Projections show that globally, about 1.2 billion individuals suffer from medical conditions for which marijuana has demonstrated to be of therapeutic value.

Wellfully’s CEO Paul Peros stated that the company plans to address the needs of both the beauty and health categories; the former will address blemishes, acne and antiaging while the later will focus on treating muscle recovery damage, inflammatory disorders, rosacea and arthritis.

He explained that the partnership with Dolce Canna Global would allow Wellfully to deliver powerful strains with stronger anti-inflammatory properties, thus creating new at-home products for the marijuana market.

He added that Wellfully’s go-to-market strategies, patented technology, resources and global networks would avail more opportunities for the company when it came to product delivery and application in various sectors utilizing cannabinoid strains that are currently not in existence to consumers.

Another company that is causing a stir in the cannabis industry is RYAH Group Inc. Its focus is to combine the best medicinal plants with the best devices, apps and services for better therapeutic outcomes.
