The JBoy Show, hosted by Jake Crain and providing an in-depth look at Southeastern Conference (“SEC”) sports with an emphasis on the SEC West, recently featured another Sunday recap from JBoy. During the program, Crain took a deep dive into the future of Auburn Head Coach Gus Malzahn as well as what went wrong Saturday for the Tigers and where they go from here. Crain also breaks down the huge win for Alabama over UGA and takes a look at “out-of-whack” Mississippi State and what happened to the Vols at home. “I want to start with this number. Because when you get hired at these places, whether it be Auburn, Alabama, LSU, Georgia, you are getting paid to beat your rivals first. . . everybody knows Auburn’s rivals are Alabama and Georgia. One of the good things that Malzahn has done, is be able to beat Alabama somewhat consistently . . . Three and five isn’t sterling, but somewhat consistent, so we’ll put that in the ‘good pile.’ What other thing against anybody else can you put in the good pile? Can you put Georgia in the good pile? You’re two and seven against Georgia . . . A Hail Mary from being one and eight . . .” Crain said, discussing Auburn’s standings under the Malzahn-led football program. “That includes games in Auburn. So, two and seven vs. Georgia, three and five vs. Alabama. I’m not a mathematician, but that’s five out of twelve. You’re batting about 40%, which isn’t good enough.”
