World Crypto Conference 2019 to Cast a Light on Enterprise Adoption of Blockchain

June 26, 2019 11:41:02

Blockchain is big. No longer just the plaything of geeks or the crypto community, the technology is spreading quickly as enterprise adoption grows. You can find out just how quickly by attending the upcoming World Crypto Conference (WCC), to be held October 29-31, 2019, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

WCC – the second annual blockchain and cryptocurrency technology conference – is being hosted by event management company EVOLV. With exhibits and activities spread over two levels of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, attendees will be able to navigate about 150,000 square feet (about 3.5 acres) of convention space. If the past is any guide, WCC will offer the chance to connect with application developers; representatives from advisory, auditing and academic organizations; executives from financial service providers; government policy advisors; and enthusiasts and entrepreneurs in the blockchain space. The gathering will be a major part of Vegas Blockchain Week 2019, also being hosted by EVOLV, which will run October 25-31, 2019.

Some of the organizations that are endorsing and acquiring blockchain technology are gargantuan. They include Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN), which has launched two new blockchain services including Quantum Ledger Database and Amazon Managed Blockchain; the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which wants to use blockchain to track drug supplies; and Walmart (NYSE: WMT), which is working with IBM (NYSE: IBM) to improve food safety with the technology. Other companies that are exploring or implementing distributed ledger solutions include Facebook (NASDAQ: FB), which is hoping to enhance data security and user privacy; Baidu (NASDAQ: BIDU), which will use the technology to manage intellectual property (IP) rights; and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), which is exploring the use of blockchain to better protect data.

World Crypto Conference will cast a light on these enterprise giants and their blockchain initiatives. For three days, WCC will bring attendees up-to-speed with thought-provoking panel discussions, product demos and insightful addresses by keynote speakers that include many movers and shakers in the crypto space. It will encompass a series of events, including a main conference (WCC), a multiple blockchain developer conference (WCC DEV CON), a mining conference (WCC MINE), educational workshops, an allocation lounge, networking events and more.
