The SEC cited “a lack of current, consistent and accurate information” as the reason to halt the trading in the two investment products that track cryptocurrencies until at least September 20, 2018. The SEC also noted confusion in the markets regarding whether or not the products were exchange-traded funds as an additional reason to halt trading.
