Cannabis Conference 2019 Expected to Attract More than 1,000 Growers and Marketers

March 18, 2019 11:47:23

If the attendance record of last year’s event is any guide, more than 1,000 cannabis cultivators, consultants, capital market pros, retailers and R&D professionals will assemble for the next-gen Cannabis Conference 2019 hosted by Cannabis Business Times and Cannabis Dispensary.

The three-day event will be held on April 1-3, 2019, at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino in Nevada.

Inaugurated in 2017, the annual Cannabis Conference is the leading cultivation and dispensary education symposium. As is usual, this year’s event will feature the latest industry technologies and solutions, with exhibits covering over 70,000 square feet of expo space (about the size of one-and-a-half football fields). There will 2,100 minutes – or 35 hours – of educational programming focusing on cannabis cultivation and business operations, retail management and customer engagement, as well as pre-show workshops featuring extraction techniques and a variety of other topics.

The keynote speaker will be Jeremy Plumb, director of production science at Pruf Cultivar, one of the most technologically advanced cannabis cultivation facilities in North America. Plumb is a co-founder of the Open Cannabis Project, an organization dedicated to building the world’s largest public domain of cannabis genetics.

The roster of 85 speakers also includes “Queen of Cannabis” Priscilla Vilchis, CEO and CMO of Premium Produce; David Bernard-Perron, vice president of growing operations at The Green Organic Dutchman, which has had the largest industry IPO (C$115 million) to date; and Dr. Nadia Sabeh, president and founder of Dr. Greenhouse Inc., an agricultural and mechanical engineering firm specializing in the design of HVAC systems for indoor plant environments.

Topics of workshops to be held include ‘Expanding and/or Franchising Your Cannabis Business’, ‘Bugology’ (the study of insect pests), ‘Cost Analysis of In-House Processing vs. Outsourced Extraction Services’, ‘Manage Your Supply Chain More Efficiently’ and many more important issues.

Exhibitors are set to include Sony, HRG Group, 3Sixty Secure Corp., Pro Grow Tech, Surna, Clear Water, CannabisNewsWire and close to a hundred more companies.
