NECANN Boston 2020 Provides Platform for Cannabis Community to Make a Stand

March 3, 2020 12:55:42

When the curtain goes up on the sixth annual New England Cannabis Convention, slated for March 20-22 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, the loudest cheers may come from local cannabis advocacy groups and nonprofits. Conference organizers have set aside 10% of the exhibit floor for these specific organizations as proof positive that the NECANN conference series is about more than just talking shop.

NECANN has built a reputation for being at the forefront of cannabis liberalization and has joined the fray against cannabis Luddites. It’s no surprise, then, that NECANN Boston 2020 is flying the flag once again for that great cause. When the conference gets underway this spring, the gathering is expected to attract the largest number of hemp, MMJ and cannabis industry professionals in the Northeast.

Rather than waiting until cannabis normalization is already in place before hosting a convention, NECANN searches out markets that need help and provides support. The typical agenda features addresses by influential industry figures, along with a plethora of product presentations. NECANN Boston 2020 is shaping up to be even more informative and educational than last year’s conference, which drew over 10,000 attendees to the same venue.

NECANN Boston 2020 looks to be a treat and a triumph. This year’s speaker lineup spotlights professionals working in the cannabis space, including illustrious figures such as David Rabinovitz, Laury C. Lucien Esq. and Blake Mensing.

Rabinowitz is CEO of NewCann and is well versed in the financial aspects of the industry, including planning, deal structuring, stock plans and M&A. He is also a contributor to the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission’s Social Equity and Economic Empowerment training program.

Lucien is a Massachusetts marijuana attorney and entrepreneur who has worked with cannabis establishments on licensing and other regulatory issues. The CEO of Major Bloom LLC, a company that has secured two host agreements and one special permit to operate marijuana establishments in Massachusetts, Lucien is also the founder and managing member of GreenLight Business Solutions, a consulting firm that advises marijuana start-ups.

Mensing is founder of the Mensing Group, a law firm with an extensive cannabis business practice.
