Legislation was introduced on Thursday to bring the federal prohibition of marijuana to an end by New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker. The bill was co-sponsored by a group of US Senators including Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Ron Wyden, Jeff Merkley and Michael Benne. The legislation was highlighted in an article authored by Gregg Re on Fox News titled ‘Cory Booker, other 2020 Dem presidential hopefuls introduce federal marijuana legalization bill’. The timing of the proposed legislation is ideal.
