British Columbia-based cannabis cultivation firm Choom Holdings Inc. (CSE: CHOO) (OTCQB: CHOOF) this morning announced that it has closed its acquisition of Island Green Cure Ltd. (“IGC”), an advanced-stage cannabis production license applicant under Health Canada’s Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations. Pursuant to the closing, Choom will issue eight million common shares to the shareholders of IGC and 500,000 common shares to a finder. In a January news release detailing the IGC acquisition, Chris Bogart, president and CEO of Choom, stated, “Upon completion of the tenant improvements, [Island Green Cure Ltd.] will submit its evidence package to Health Canada and it is expected a cannabis cultivation license will soon follow. This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to building a national premium recreation brand.”
